Phyllis, 87, Ottawa, died at 3:20 p.m., at The Meadows of Ottawa.

She was the daughter of Bert and Fronia (Earley) Martin. On Feb 19, 1950, she married Joseph M. Kurtz, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two daughters: Julie (Mark) Perhot, Belleair, FL, and Lisa Kindle, Defiance; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a son-in-law, Kevin Kindle; and a brother and five sister.

A homemaker, she was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa, where she was a volunteer. She also volunteered for the Friends of the Library, American Cancer Society, the Ottawa Food Pantry, and she read to children.

Funeral Services will be at Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa, with Pastor Lynda Lockwood officiating.
